JOSEPH LE BREAKS LOUD SILENCE OVER DEATH OF COLLEAGUE MINISTER, DODO NDOKE

The Minister of Administrative Reforms, Joseph Le has promised to have the truth about the death of fellow Minister, Gabriel Dodo Ndoke revealed in due time. He made the remark at the late minister’s funeral over the weekend in his native Batouri in the East region.

One month after the death of sitting Minister, Gabriel Dodo Ndoke, government is yet to make any official remarks regarding the cause of his demise. His funeral over the weekend in Batouri, East region saw a battery of state dignitaries and hundreds of mourners troop into the community. Amongst them was Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute who posthumously decorated the late Minister of Mines, Industry and Technological Development, raising him to the rank of Commander of the Order of Valour.

But it was Administrative Reforms Minister, Joseph Le who took the bull by the horns. “I would like to ask you once again to be patient, we will know the truth about Gabriel’s death when the time comes,” The Guardian Post quotes him telling the population at the funeral.

“… Thank you for your temperance, for you sense of responsibility and your patience, thanks to which the funeral of your son, brother, friend and comrade is taking place here in Batouri… You were able to transcend the pain, despite this brutal, violent death which is still difficult to understand,” he furthered.

The Minister’s remarks came as a surprise to many, given government’s silence. While a temporary replacement was named for the late minister, nothing is was said about his sudden death or its cause.

Minister Gabriel Dodo Ndoke who was appointed to the position in 2019 died on January 21, 2023, aged 51.
